Ariane
I am Ariane, a professional makeup artist, president, and founder of Mariage MTL, a bridal makeup and hairstyling agency established in March 2024. I have been working in the makeup industry since 2015, after completing training at two recognized schools in Montreal.
My passion for enhancing what makes each person unique has led me to work on a wide range of projects, including television productions, commercial photoshoots, music videos, weddings, and private events.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to collaborate on productions such as En direct de l’univers, La semaine des 4 Julie, as well as with TVA Sports, La Zone Optique Lunetterie, and Canadian singer Connie Kaldor. I have also gained extensive experience working at MAC Cosmetics and collaborating with brands such as VKosmetik with Varda Étienne, Lise Watier, and Estée Lauder.
In 2020, I began working alongside Jimmy, photographer behind @aetjphotos, which allowed me to deepen my understanding of makeup in photography and refine my techniques for flawless camera-ready results.
With Mariage MTL, I aimed to create a supportive and caring space where artists can thrive in a professional, respectful, and human environment. I place great importance on listening and understanding each client’s needs. My approach is soft, personalized, and focused on authentic beauty. My goal is for every bride to feel beautiful, confident, and truly herself from start to finish on her wedding day.
What is your favorite product and brand?
I really love the Hollywood Flawless Filter by Charlotte Tilbury. I like to apply it on the top of the cheekbones because it gives a natural yet visible glow. It’s perfect for enhancing the cheekbone area and finishing a natural or soft glam makeup look.
What is your favorite step during a bridal makeup?
I absolutely love applying false lashes! It’s the final touch that makes such a big difference, even for clients who prefer a very natural look.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I enjoy most about my job is meeting such a diverse range of people and hearing their stories. Every day brings its own challenges, satisfaction, and new experiences, but it’s exactly in these moments that I feel a deep sense of fulfillment.
What is your favorite makeup style to do on a client?
I really enjoy creating soft glam looks. I find it to be the perfect balance between softness and timeless beauty.
