Marie-Michèle
Marie-Michèle is a professional hairstylist specializing in bridal hairstyling. Her background is deeply rooted in the artistic and creative world. Self-taught for over 20 years, she has been working professionally for approximately 14 years and brings more than 15 years of experience in the wedding industry.
Before fully dedicating herself to hairstyling, she explored several artistic disciplines including visual arts, photography, drawing, and welding. She later studied fashion design, specializing in leather and fur—this connection with texture and fiber is what first sparked her fascination with hair.
This curiosity naturally led her to pursue formal training in hairstyling, along with further education in hair color during her studies. In 2020, she completed specialized training in Martinique focused on textured hair, with the goal of offering inclusive services for all hair types.
Her love for performing arts strongly influences her approach: each hairstyle is treated as a living creation, designed to accompany someone through one of the most meaningful moments of their life.
What truly sets Marie-Michèle apart is her adaptability and creativity. She thrives on challenges, manages stress with ease, and has a remarkable ability to create a wide variety of styles. Often described as a true chameleon, she naturally adapts to each client’s energy, style, and needs. Her approach is authentic, caring, inclusive, and non-judgmental, creating a calm and relaxing experience built on trust.
What is your favorite product and brand?
I love the Puff.Me powder by Design.Me. It’s almost like magic—I use it on nearly everyone. It adds texture, volume, and hold to any hairstyle while remaining lightweight and natural, regardless of the style.
What is your favorite step during a bridal hairstyling?
I especially love the first contact with the hair. Each strand has its own identity. By respecting it and working with it rather than forcing it, you can truly bring out its full beauty. I also enjoy helping people appreciate their hair just the way it is.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I enjoy most is the versatility of the profession and the human connection. We are at the heart of people’s emotions, often during very meaningful moments. There is also an important psychological aspect—creating, supporting, and making people feel good. I have the privilege of being part of someone’s story or a chapter of their life.
What is your favorite hairstyle to create on a client?
I love textured and flowing hairstyles: messy styles, soft undone buns, boho looks, sometimes sleeker or more structured styles—but always with that airy, effortless feel. I enjoy when the look feels alive, natural, and free.
